SPRING BAZAAR 2009

Calling all vendors…. The Wings of Faith Liturgical Dance Ministry is sponsoring it Spring Bazaar. This event will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 from 9:00AM to 2:00PM. The location for this event is at the FBCOG White House, 7460 Oakland Mills Road, Columbia, MD. For further information or to reserve your space, contact Robin Echols at rechols@fbcog.org.

Baptism will be held at Community Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 7:00PM. Rev. Larry Hines is the pastor.

The Youth Ministry is pleased to invite the Guilford Church family and the community at-large. Youth Day worship service will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Howard High School, Route 108, Columbia, MD. Worship service begins at 9:00AM.

Pastor Wright and the Strategic Planning team will be sponsoring the 2009 Leadership Conference on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 9:00AM. The purpose of this session is to share information and expectations for our expansion effort, brief out on the ministry action plans, and discuss the concept of ministries in transition. The Leadership conference will take place over 2 sessions. The first session is for the officers (Deacon/Deaconess Ministry and the Trustee Ministry), and the leadership of the following ministries; Ministerial Staff, Combined Christian Education Ministries (to include the Church School and Baptist Training Union), Nurses Ministry, Parking Ministry, the Audio-Visual Ministry, and the Combined Usher Ministries.

The second session will take place in June with the leadership of the remaining ministries in the church. The date for this session will be announced at a later date.

The Scholarship Ministry will recognize all graduates grades Kindergarten through Post Graduate (Master's & Doctorate) on Sunday, June 21, 2009. Please complete the following form and return by:

Come celebrate Fathers’ Day with the Scholarship Ministry as they recognize the 2009 scholarship recipients at the First Scholarship and Awards Breakfast on Saturday, June 20, 2009. The breakfast will be held at Club Meade (on Fort Meade) from 9:00am-11:30am. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children (ages 11and under). Tickets can be purchased from any scholarship ministry member or by contacting Phyllis Bruton, phyllisbruton82@verizon.net, or Sherry Crawford, scrawford912@yahoo.com. Tickets must be purchased by June 5, 2009.
