The Christian Education Ministry focuses on the training and education of the disciples and members of the church. The mission of this ministry is to enable and support the actualization of the FBCG mission through teaching, training, and educating the saved and the unsaved for effective ministry and edifying of the Kingdom. The vision of this ministry is to promote the growth of the body of CHRIST by providing Christian educational and training opportunities that meet the needs of FBCG disciples, members, and friends no matter their station in life. The guiding principles for Christian Education at the First Baptist Church of Guilford are as follows: Leadership (Receiving the Vision and Actualizing the Vision), Discipleship (Growing the Body thru Growing the Ministry), Stewardship (Supporting the body through gifts and blessings), and Evangelism (Spreading the WORD of GOD in word and action).

Under the auspices of the Ministry include the Church School, Baptist Training Union (BTU), Wings of Faith Dance Ministry, E-Ministry, the Foundations Class (new members), Marital Fellowship Ministry, Vacation Bible School, Welcome Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, the Singles’ Ministry, and the Bible Studies classes conducted in the church (to become the FBCG Bible Academy). Aside from the regularly scheduled Ministry meetings and Bible study sessions, special events for the calendar year include participation in the Black History Remembrance (February), annual City-Wide Church Institute (March), Resurrection Play (March/April), National Baptist Congress of Christian Education (June) and the annual FBCG Church-Wide Institute (November), and the Christmas Play (December).
