The deaconess works alongside the deacons, tending to the needs of the members at First Baptist Church of Guilford. They assist with Baptism and The Lord’s Supper, ministering to sick, shut-in and bereaved families, and conducting monthly services at two area Nursing Homes.

Members are encouraged to call their deaconess by means of a Deacon/Deaconess Family Ministry list that is available to all members. This ministry is available at any time to share or help in time of need, just to say hello, or just talk about the goodness of the Lord.
