The First Baptist Church of Guilford Scholarship Ministry was formed as a task force to formulate and set into motion a program of financial, spiritual, informational, educational, and inspirational assistance to students pursuing higher education. Each year the Scholarship Ministry sponsors several fundraising activities and the proceeds from these activities are used to help our students defray the enormous cost of education by means of book money and scholarships. Our aim is to help deserving students complete their education.

  • Spotlights graduates from Pre-k through post graduate
  • Scholarships awards are announced
• Annual distribution of book money
• Annual Back-to-School Fellowship
  • Information/rap session for returning and first-time college students
  • Scholarships checks are distributed
• Fundraising activities include:

  • International Food Festival
  • State & Country Contest
  • Rising Star Contest
  • Grandparent’s Contest
  • Tiny Tot’s Contest
  • Cookbook Sale
  • Children of God’s Kingdom Contest
